Guess who’s here?
We have a visitor in our house! Guess who it is?
It’s Simon!
My parents are taking off for a week or so, and we get to take care of their precious baby until they get back.
Unfortunately for him, Simon arrived at out place in the middle of our big end-of-summer barbecue. With 11 small children, 4 teenagers, 13 adults around. Simon is a little shy, so it took him until around 20 minutes ago to come out from under the couch. Now he’s ON the couch, all snuggled up to Rob.
Simon, as you can see, is wearing a little suit. No, my mother’s not one of those ladies that puts her pets in sweaters even if they don’t need them (he’s strictly an indoor cat, so he won’t be getting cold or anything)… he’s been gnawing at a place where he had a biopsy, and kept slipping out of the cone, so Mom made him a shirt. Then she added the little Tweety Bird patch, just so he’d feel stylish.
Judd Nelson and Simon are getting along fine. Judd tried to get Simon to write his own post on here, but all Simon managed to tap out was “medical malpractice attorney New York” before he was distracted by something shiny.
Oh, cats. They are cryptic.

He’s lovely, Tweety coat and all. 
[...] Simon had to be put to sleep yesterday. He’s been suffering for months, without much relief (he was getting shots once a week that were costing my parents hundreds of dollars, and would make him feel okay that day and maybe the next… but then he’d be sick the rest of the week) and my parents and the vet finally made the decision, because he was basically having little strokes for the past two days, to let him rest. My mother called to let me know, and she was crying, but the vet couldn’t do much for him. He was only 3 years old. This is a very sad thing. « Whatta mess [...]
