So of course I write that post yesterday about how much my nephews love the Barenaked Ladies’ kids’ album, and then in the afternoon it’s all over the news that BNL’s lead singer’s been arrested on cocaine possession charges. Is that irony? I don’t know what irony is. Alanis totally fucked up my understanding of irony. That Alanis. She’s always been a shit-disturber.

In other news: Have I started packing yet? No, laundry’s not even done. What I *did* do though, was last night I bleached Rob’s (already-blond) hair. Shut up. He let me. I also got rid of all the spam comments (90!) that were poking around in my blog because it makes me feel inadequate and out of the loop that I have no idea what an eca stack is and why I need one for my life.

Also: Have just eaten a bunch of beets from the garden. Now my wees will be purple. It’s science!

I wish you a wonderful visit in Newfoundland — a well-deserved break!

My best-laid plans for coming to PEI were trashed by utility companies demanding (imagine the nerve!) payment for such things as light and heat and hot water. Pfft.

Still, I have faith that I might get there in late August.
