Delay!

Map for our trip

Rob never bothered to go to bed last night, thinking he’d be able to sleep in the car or, at the very least, on the ferry. He couldn’t sleep in the car (he tried, but it’s hard to sleep in a car, I think). We left home at about 4 am, got to N. Sydney at 11:30, and were informed that our ferry has been delayed. By four hours. Yeah instead of leaving at 1:20 pm, we’re leaving between 5 and 5:30.

Then 17 - 19 hours on the boat.

Holy crap.

We did manage to get ahold of some delicious wifi, so at least we can mess around on the Net. I’ve been staring at a “Hinkley lighting” sticker on one of the light fixtures in this lobby for the past hour, so this is more entertaining.

Also, we took some video-blog-type videos on the drive. I might put them up on here, although most of them are just me talking about how I was going to wait until Rob was sleeping and then put things into his mouth.

Because I’m mature.

So.

I’m looking at that map going, “how the hell do you sail a ferry down the middle of Nova Scotia? Is there a canal? Is there some sea passaged I don’t know about? How come her ferry passage is RIGHT OVER LAND?”

Then I caught on. The solid line is car. Dotted is ferry.

I went to college. I swear.
