A procrastination meme! For procrastinating!

Today is the 9th anniversary of my little brother and his lovely bride (which, seeing as he’s younger than me, and I’ve only been married for not-quite-two years, makes me feel like a bit of a slacker). Our wedding anniversary is in a month. I am procrastinating against packing (Rob is helping by telling me how little we actually have to do before leaving) so I am going to fill out this meme. I have no idea where it came from because it’s been in my “drafts” part of my blog for several eons and I’m bad at keeping track of things.

1. Who is your man? Rob (and may I say I hate the term “your man”, as though he’s a possession or something. Jeebus. And it’s in this meme like 900 times, I just checked).

2. How long have you been together? Married? A year and 11 months. Dated for 4 years before that. So six years now. Holy crapola.

3. How long did you date? (before getting engaged) 2 and a half years? Something like that.

4. How old is your man? He will be 31 soon. SOON. And then I won’t have to worry about being The Older Woman.

5. Who eats more? I have no idea. I don’t keep tabs.

6. Who said I love you first? Well, see, at the time we were living apart. And neither of us wanted to say it, because God knows long distance relationships never work. So we were like “Okay we can’t say it! But do you feel a certain way about me? Because I feel a certain way about you!” “Yes! I feel a certain way about you but I can’t say what that way is because THAT WOULD BE CRAZY” “I totally agree! Telling you what the way I feel is would be completely insane!” “But it’s, you know, a certain way, right? The way that starts with L?” “YES but we can’t say the whole word! Because THAT WOULD BE SO CRAZY” …. & cetera & cetera.

7. Who is taller? Rob is. I’m 5′8″, he’s 6′.

8. Who sings better? I am not going to be all stuck uppy about it, but I do. Not because I’m a good singer, but because I am good at pitch and memorizing lyrics.

9. Who is smarter? He is, and if he worked to his full potential, he’d be dangerous.

10. Whose temper is worse? You know, I don’t think we’ve ever had a fight. Okay that sounds ridiculous but we haven’t. We don’t agree on everything but we just kind of… go with that.
But as for temper… Rob’s more one to get mad, and be mad. I’m one who will stew in my anger for YEARS and make my guts turn black. Mmmm, great, picture that.

11. Who does the laundry? Mostly me, because I like doing it (I ENJOY LAUNDRY) but alot of the time he is the one who ends up putting stuff in the dryer for me because I head to bed and say “Oh sweetie will you put stuff in the dryer?” and yeah.

12. Who takes out the trash? He does.

13. Who pays the bills? He does, I pay him and he pays the bill people.

14. Who is better with the computer? He is. Without a doubt.

15. Who mows the lawn? The maintenance guys.

16. Who cooks dinner? Both of us. Depends on who can pry themselves off the sofa and get in there and do it.

17. Who drives when you are together? Rob doesn’t drive.

18. Who is the most stubborn? This goes back to the arguing topic. It’s really a toss up. Too close to call.

19. Whose parents do you like the most? What kind of a question is this? I like my parents because holy hell THEY INVENTED ME! and I like his parents because THEY INVENTED HIM. I am not making this kind of decision.

20. Who kissed who first? We kissed each other! Although to be fair I kind of said “Hey, give me a kiss!”

21. Who asked out who? I don’t think that anyone asked anyone else out. We just sort of… started going out. Friends first type thing.

22. Who proposed? He did.

23. Who has more friends? We both have friends in our occupational spheres and we share some mutual friends, but neither of us are those people who have big herds of friends. But we have each other. I’d rather hang out with him any day than with a big group of friends.

24. Who has more siblings? I think I do - one brother and one sister that I grew up with. He grew up without siblings around him. He’s possibly got half-siblings running around out there but he doesn’t know and if he does he has never had any contact with them.
